Mina is a blessed valley near Mecca where pilgrims stay during Eid in white tents, praying and remembering God.

Mina is a valley nestled between Mecca and Muzdalifah, serving as a sacred site of the Hajj pilgrimage. Pilgrims spend the Day of Tarwiyah and the Days of Tashriq there following Arafat, staying in the famous white tent city and performing the ritual stoning of the pillars (jamarat) following Abraham's model, in an atmosphere of peace and global brotherhood.

A historic sanctuary and pivotal site of the Hajj pilgrimage, situated in an arid valley roughly six kilometers east of Mecca between the Sacred Sanctuary and Muzdalifah. It hosts the pilgrims on the Day of Tarwiyah (8th Dhu al-Hijjah) and during the three Days of Tashriq following the Day of Sacrifice. Crucial rites transpire here: obligatory overnight stays, the symbolic stoning of the three stone pillars (jamarat) commemorating Abraham's rejection of temptation, animal sacrifices, and congregational prayers at the historic al-Khayf Mosque, housing the world's largest tent city designed to accommodate millions.
