Chain of transmission
Summary
The first hadith in the chapter on the permission to pass in front of one who prays. Yahya transmits from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Ubayd Allah ibn Abdullah ibn Utba from Ibn Abbas: he came riding on a female donkey, having nearly reached puberty, while the Prophet ﷺ was leading people in prayer at Mina. He passed in front of part of the row, then dismounted and let the donkey graze, and entered the row. No one objected to him. The editor cites al-Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, al-Nasa'i, Ibn Khuzayma, Ahmad and al-Shafi'i from Malik's transmitters, and refers to al-Tamhid. 1 2
