Summary

A continuation of the first hadith in the chapter on the times of prayer: Urwa ibn al-Zubayr says that Aisha, the Prophet's wife, told him that the Messenger of God prayed the afternoon prayer while the sun was still in her room before it rose from its ground, which shows that he prayed the afternoon early. The editor shows that this is Ibn Shihab's statement joined to what precedes, and not a suspended report, citing Ibn Hajar's Fath against al-Kirmani. Al-Shaybani transmitted it separately. It is found in al-Bukhari, Abu Dawud, Muslim and al-Darimi. 1
