Summary
The first hadith in the chapter on encouragement to pray in Ramadan. Yahya transmits from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Urwa ibn al-Zubayr from Aisha: the Prophet ﷺ prayed in the mosque one night and some people prayed with him. He prayed the next night and more people came. On the third or fourth night they gathered, but he did not come out to them. In the morning he told them he had seen what they did, and that nothing kept him from coming out except fear that it would be made obligatory on them, and that was in Ramadan. The editor cites al-Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, al-Nasa'i, Ibn Hibban and Ahmad, and refers to al-Tamhid. 1 2
