Chain of transmission
Summary
A report that Malik transmits from Ibn Shihab from Urwa ibn al-Zubayr from Aisha, in the chapter on the procedure for the ritual bath: the Prophet ﷺ bathed from sexual impurity from a vessel called the faraq. The editor explains faraq as three sa's, though some say two, and cites Muslim, Abu Dawud and al-Bayhaqi, noting that Ibn Abi Shayba, Abu Awana, Abd al-Razzaq and al-Baghawi transmitted it through other chains from al-Zuhri. 1
