Summary
Malik transmits from Muhammad ibn Amr ibn Halhala al-Dili, from Muhammad ibn Imran al-Ansari, from his father, that Abdullah ibn Umar turned aside to him while he was resting under a sarha tree on the road to Mecca, and asked him why he rested under it. He said: he wanted its shade. Ibn Umar said: the Messenger of God ﷺ said: when you are between the two hills of Mina, and he blew with his hand toward the east, there is a valley called al-Sirar, in which is a tree of sirar, under which seventy prophets sat. The editor notes that the chain of the hadith is weak, because Muhammad ibn Imran and his father are unknown. 1
