Summary
Malik transmits from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar used to stop the talbiya in the pilgrimage when he reached the Sacred Area, until he had circumambulated the House and run between al-Safa and al-Marwa, then he called the talbiya until he set out from Mina to Arafat; when he set out he stopped the talbiya. In the lesser pilgrimage he would stop the talbiya when he entered the Sacred Area. The editor notes that al-Bayhaqi (5/104) transmitted from Ata from Ibn Umar the wording 'when he entered the Sacred Area'. 1
