«من كانَ معَهُ هَذْيٌ فَلْيُهْلِلْ بِالحَجِّ مع العُمْرَةِ، ثم لا يَحِلُّ حتَّى يَحِلَّ مِنْهُما جَميعًا»

Summary

Amra bint Abd al-Rahman tells that Aisha said: we went out with the Messenger of God ﷺ in the year of the Farewell Pilgrimage, and entered ihram for the lesser pilgrimage. He said: whoever has an offering with him should enter ihram for the pilgrimage together with the lesser pilgrimage, and not release himself until he releases himself from both. I came to Mecca menstruating, so I did not circumambulate the House or run between al-Safa and al-Marwa; and the Prophet ordered me to undo my hair, comb it, enter ihram for the pilgrimage, and leave the lesser pilgrimage. When they finished the pilgrimage, he sent me with Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Bakr to al-Tanim, and I made the lesser pilgrimage; he said: this is in place of your lesser pilgrimage. The editor notes that Ibn Abd al-Barr thought the chain of Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Qasim in Yahya's transmission is an error, since he alone transmitted it that way. 1
