Summary
Malik transmits from Nafi, from Abdullah ibn Umar, that the Prophet ﷺ said that when one of them dies, his seat is shown to him morning and evening: if he is among the people of the Garden, then he is among the people of the Garden; if among the people of the Fire, then among the people of the Fire. It is said to him: this is your seat until God raises you to the Day of Resurrection. The editor notes that in two copies the word is 'to him', the version of Ibn al-Qasim and Yahya ibn Yahya al-Nisaburi, as Ibn Abd al-Barr said in al-Tamhid (14/103). Abu Musab, Ibn Hibban, al-Bughawi, Ishaq al-Tabba in Ahmad, Ismail ibn Abi Uways in al-Bukhari, Suwayd, al-Qanabi, Ibn al-Qasim in al-Nasai and Yahya ibn Yahya al-Nisaburi in Muslim transmitted it. 1
