Summary
A report that Malik transmits from Nafi' from Abdullah ibn Umar, that the Prophet ﷺ likened the companion of the Qur'an to the owner of tied camels: if he looks after them, he keeps them, and if he lets them loose, they go. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab transmitted it, and from him Ibn Hibban and al-Baghawi, al-Qa'nabi, al-Tinisi in al-Bukhari (5031), Qutayba in al-Nasa'i, al-Shaybani, and Yahya ibn Yahya al-Naysaburi in Muslim (2/190). 1
