Summary
The first report in the chapter on the grave-robber. Malik transmits from Abu al-Rijal Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahman, from his mother Amra bint Abd al-Rahman, that she said: the Prophet ﷺ cursed the grave-robber man and woman. The editor notes that one copy headed the chapter 'on concealment'. Abu Musab, Suwayd, al-Qanabi (in al-Uqayli) and al-Shafii transmitted it from Malik. Ibn Abd al-Barr (al-Tamhid 13/139) notes that it was transmitted connected from Malik from Abu al-Rijal from Amra from Aisha, through Yahya ibn Salih al-Wuhazi and Abdullah ibn Abd al-Wahhab; al-Uqayli gave the mursal version through al-Qanabi and said the mursal is preferable. The editor defends the reliability of al-Wuhazi, who is among the men of the two Sahihs. 1
