Chain of transmission
Summary
A report that Malik transmits from Nafi', client of Ibn Umar, that a man of Egypt told him that Umar ibn al-Khattab (may God be pleased with him) recited Surat al-Hajj and prostrated twice in it, and then said this surah was favoured with two prostrations. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab, al-Shafi'i, al-Shaybani and Yahya ibn Yahya al-Naysaburi in al-Bayhaqi transmitted it, and that a raised report from Uqba ibn Amir in Ahmad, Abu Dawud (1402) and al-Tirmidhi (578) through Ibn Lahi'a was weakened by al-Tirmidhi. 1
