Summary

A report that Malik transmits from Amr ibn Yahya al-Mazini from Ibn Abi Salit, in the chapter on the time of Friday prayer: Uthman ibn Affan prayed Friday in Medina and then prayed the afternoon at Malal, a place seventeen miles from Medina on the road to Mecca, as the editor shows. Malik comments that this was because he hastened Friday prayer at midday and travelled quickly. 1
