Overview
Qabisa ibn Dhu'ayb ibn Amr al-Khuza'i, of Medina. al-Shirazi says that Abu al-Zinad counted him among the four jurists of Medina, together with Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab, Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan and Urwa ibn al-Zubayr. 1
The book describes him as the vizier, counsellor and close companion of Abd al-Malik, on his travels and at home. He opposed removing Abd al-Aziz ibn Marwan from the succession, interceded on behalf of Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab after he was beaten, and brought al-Zuhri close to Abd al-Malik. 1
