Summary
Malik transmits from Yahya ibn Said that the Messenger of God ﷺ was sitting while a grave was being dug in Medina; a man looked into the grave and said: what an evil resting place for a believer. The Messenger of God said: what an evil thing you said. The man said: Messenger of God, I did not mean that; I meant dying in God's path. The Messenger of God said: there is no equal to dying in God's path; there is no spot on earth that I would love more for my grave to be in than it, three times. 1
