A verbatim excerpt of the text, forty words at most; the full text is in the edition cited under sources
Summary
Malik transmits from Jafar ibn Muhammad, from his father, from Jabir ibn Abdullah (may God be pleased with him), that when the Messenger of God ﷺ came down from al-Safa and al-Marwa he walked, and when his feet reached the bottom of the valley he ran until he came out of it. The editor notes that Abu Musab (1314), Ishaq al-Tabba, Suwayd (544) and others transmitted it, and that it is part of the lengthy hadith of Jabir. 1
