Summary
Malik transmits from Jafar ibn Muhammad, from his father, from Jabir ibn Abdullah (may God be pleased with him), that when the Messenger of God ﷺ stood on al-Safa he would say the takbir three times and say: there is no god but God alone, without partner; to Him is the dominion and to Him is praise, and He is powerful over all things; he did that three times and supplicated, and did the same on al-Marwa. The editor notes that Abu Musab (1312), Ishaq al-Tabba, Suwayd and others transmitted it from Malik. 1
