Summary
The first hadith in the chapter on general circumambulation. Malik transmits from Abu al-Aswad Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Nawfal, from Urwa ibn al-Zubayr, from Zaynab bint Abi Salama (may God be pleased with her), from Umm Salama, wife of the Prophet ﷺ, that she said: I complained to the Messenger of God that I was unwell; he said: circumambulate behind the people while riding. She said: I circumambulated riding my camel while the Messenger of God was praying beside the House, reciting al-Tur and a written book. The editor notes that Abu Musab (1302), Suwayd (552) and Ismail ibn Abi Uways in al-Bukhari (1619) transmitted it, and others besides. 1
