«كنت أطيب رسول الله لإحرامه قبل أن يحرم، ولحله قبل أن يطوف بالبيت»
A verbatim excerpt of the text, forty words at most; the full text is in the edition cited under sources
Summary
The first hadith in the chapter on perfume in the pilgrimage. Malik transmits from Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Qasim, from his father, from Aisha, wife of the Prophet ﷺ, who said: I used to perfume the Messenger of God for his ihram before he entered ihram, and for his release before he circumambulated the House. The editor notes that Abu Musab (1053) transmitted it from Malik, and that al-Tirmidhi (917) contains a large number of its routes. 1
