Chain of transmission
Summary
Malik transmits from Yahya ibn Said that he heard Said ibn al-Musayyab report from Abu Hurayra (may God be pleased with him) that he came from Bahrayn until he was at al-Rabadha, and found a group of men from Iraq in ihram who asked him about game meat they had found with the people of al-Rabadha; he ordered them to eat it. Then he doubted what he had told them. When he came to Medina he mentioned it to Umar ibn al-Khattab (may God be pleased with him); Umar said: what did you order them? He said: I ordered them to eat it. Umar said: had you ordered them otherwise, I would have struck you hard. The editor notes that Abu Musab (1140) and Suwayd (573) transmitted it from Malik. 1
