Summary
It reached Malik that Umar ibn al-Khattab (may God be pleased with him), Ali ibn Abi Talib (may God be pleased with him) and Abu Hurayra (may God be pleased with him) were asked about a man who had intercourse with his wife while in ihram for the pilgrimage. They said: both of them proceed to complete their pilgrimage, and then they owe the pilgrimage in a later year and the offering. Ali said: when they enter ihram for the pilgrimage in a later year, they separate until they complete their pilgrimage. The editor notes that Abu Musab (1230), Suwayd (529) and Yahya ibn Bukayr (in al-Bayhaqi) transmitted it from Malik. 1
