Malik transmits from Yahya ibn Said, from Muhammad ibn Ibrahim ibn al-Harith al-Taymi, from Rabia ibn Abdallah ibn al-Hudayr, that he saw Umar ibn al-Khattab (may God be pleased with him) in ihram at al-Saqya striking off a camel of his in mud. Malik said: I dislike it. The editor notes that Abu Musab (1192), Suwayd (582), al-Shafii in his Musnad, and Yahya ibn Bukayr (in al-Bayhaqi) transmitted it. 1
