Chain of transmission
Summary
The first hadith in the chapter on cutting off the talbiya in the lesser pilgrimage, preceded by a saying of Said ibn al-Musayyab. Malik transmits from Ibn Shihab, from Said ibn al-Musayyab, that Umar ibn Abi Salama asked Umar ibn al-Khattab (may God be pleased with him) permission to make the lesser pilgrimage in Shawwal; he gave him permission; he made the lesser pilgrimage, then returned to his family without making the pilgrimage. The editor notes that Abu Musab (1105), Suwayd and al-Shaybani (447) transmitted it from Malik. 1
