Chain of transmission
Summary
The first report in the chapter on what makes the bath obligatory when the two circumcised parts meet. Yahya transmits from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab that Umar ibn al-Khattab (may God be pleased with him), Uthman ibn Affan (may God be pleased with him) and Aisha, the Prophet ﷺ's wife, used to say that the bath becomes obligatory when the two circumcised parts meet, even without ejaculation. The editor notes that Abd al-Razzaq, Ibn Abi Shayba and al-Tahawi transmitted it by other channels from Sa'id from Aisha, Ibn Abi Shayba from Masruq from Aisha, al-Daraqutni raised it from al-Qasim from Aisha, and Ibn Abi Shayba transmitted a similar report from Umar. 1
