Summary
A report that Malik transmits from Yahya ibn Sa'id from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab, in the chapter on what makes the bath obligatory when the two circumcised parts meet: Abu Musa al-Ash'ari came to Aisha and said that the disagreement among the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ on this matter troubled him, and that he was too awed to ask her. She said, "Ask me about it as you would ask your mother". He asked about a man who has intercourse with his wife, then grows lazy and does not ejaculate; she answered that the bath is required when the circumcised part passes the circumcised part. Abu Musa said, "I will never ask anyone about this after you". The editor notes that the hadith is raised through Abu Burda from Abu Musa in Muslim, Ibn Khuzayma, Abu Awana and al-Bayhaqi, and through Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab from Abu Musa in Abd al-Razzaq and al-Tahawi. 1
