Chain of transmission

  1. Malik ibn Anas
  2. Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Ansari

Summary

A report that Malik transmits from Yahya ibn Sa'id, in the chapter on how to deal with someone overcome by blood from a wound or a nosebleed: Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab asked those around him about one who was overcome by blood from an unending nosebleed, and then said he thought he should signal with his head during prayer. Yahya says Malik considered this the most beloved of what he had heard on the question. The editor notes that Abd al-Razzaq transmitted a similar view from Ma'mar as an unconnected report from Ibn al-Musayyab. 1 2
