Chain of transmission
Summary
A report that Malik transmits from Yahya ibn Sa'id, in the chapter on repeating prayer with the imam: a man asked Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab whether, if he prays at home and then comes to the mosque and finds the imam praying, he should pray with him. Sa'id said yes. The man asked which of the two was his prayer. Sa'id said: "Or do you make them? It is up to God". The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab, Suwayd and Yahya ibn Bukayr in al-Bayhaqi transmitted it, and that Abd al-Razzaq transmitted a similar report from Ibn Uyayna from Yahya ibn Sa'id. 1
