Chain of transmission
Summary
A report that Malik transmits from Ibn Shihab from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab that Umar ibn al-Khattab (may God be pleased with him) and Uthman ibn Affan (may God be pleased with him) used to do this, that is, lie down in the mosque with one leg over the other, in the chapter on practice in the congregational prayer. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab and Muhammad ibn al-Hasan transmitted it, and that it is cut off, since Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab did not meet Umar. 1 2
