Summary
A report that Malik transmits from Ibn Shihab from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab and Abu Salama ibn Abd al-Rahman, the same as the previous hadith, as a mursal, in the chapter on one who ends the prayer after two rak'as by forgetfulness. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab and Suwayd transmitted it, and that Ibn Abd al-Barr said that Abd al-Hamid ibn Sulayman alone connected it from Malik, from Sa'id from Abu Hurayra (may God be pleased with him). He says Ibn Shihab was very confused in the story of Dhu al-Yadayn, which led the people of transmission to drop it from his narration, and that nobody of the people of knowledge who were fair relied on Ibn Shihab's story of Dhu al-Yadayn: error is not safe from anyone, and everyone is taken and left except the Prophet ﷺ. 1
