Malik transmits from Abu al-Zinad, from al-A'raj, from Abu Hurayra (may God be pleased with him), that the Prophet ﷺ said: beware of continuous fasting, beware of continuous fasting. They said: Messenger of God, you yourself fast continuously? He said: I am not like you; I spend the night and my Lord feeds and gives me drink.
