«إذا توضأ أحدكم فليجعل في أنفه ماء ثم لينثر، ومن استجمر فليوتر»
A verbatim excerpt of the text, forty words at most; the full text is in the edition cited under sources
Summary
A report that Malik transmits from Abu al-Zinad Abdullah ibn Dhakwan, from al-A'raj Abd al-Rahman ibn Hormuz, from Abu Hurayra (may God be pleased with him), in the chapter on performing ablution: the Prophet ﷺ told the one who performs ablution to put water in his nose and blow it out, and whoever cleans himself with stones to make the number odd. The editor explains istijmar as wiping with small stones, and cites al-Bukhari, Abu Dawud, al-Nasa'i and Ibn Hibban. 1
