Summary
A report that Malik transmits from Abu al-Zinad from al-A'raj from Abu Hurayra (may God be pleased with him), in the chapter on the call to prayer: the Prophet ﷺ told that Satan turns away at the call to prayer so as not to hear it. When it ends, he comes back, and when the prayer is called, he turns away again; when the iqama ends, he comes back and whispers to a man's self, reminding him of what he did not remember, until the man does not know how many rak'as he prayed. The editor cites al-Bukhari, Abu Dawud, al-Nasa'i, Ibn Hibban and Ahmad from Malik's transmitters, and refers to al-Tamhid. 1
