Summary
A report that Malik transmits from Abu al-Zinad from Abu Salama ibn Abd al-Rahman: some people from al-Jar came and asked Marwan ibn al-Hakam about what the sea throws up. He said there was no harm in it, and told them to go to Zayd ibn Thabit (may God be pleased with him) and Abu Hurayra (may God be pleased with him), ask them, and come back and tell him what they said. They went and asked, and both said there was no harm in it. They returned to Marwan and told him, and he said: I told you so. 1
