Summary
The first hadith in the chapter on supplication. Yahya's line from Malik from Abu al-Zinad from al-A'raj from Abu Hurayra (may God be pleased with him): the Prophet ﷺ said every prophet has a supplication he makes, and he wanted to store up his supplication as intercession for his community in the Hereafter. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab, Ishaq al-Tabba' in Ahmad and Isma'il ibn Abi Uways in al-Bukhari (6304) transmitted it. Ibn Abd al-Barr (al-Tamhid) says a group of Muwatta transmitters gave it this chain, and that Ibn Wahb transmitted from Malik from Zuhri from Abu Salama from Abu Hurayra, a strange route, and both chains are sound for Malik. 1 2
