Summary
Malik transmits from Yahya ibn Said, from Bushayr ibn Yasar, that Abu Burda ibn Niyar (may God be pleased with him) slaughtered his sacrifice before the Messenger of God ﷺ slaughtered his on the day of sacrifice; he claimed that the Messenger of God ordered him to return with another sacrifice. Abu Burda said: Messenger of God, I only find a jadha' (a young animal of the year). He said: even if you find only a jadha', slaughter it. 1
