Summary
A report that Malik transmits from Yahya ibn Sa'id from Bushayr ibn Yasar, client of Banu Haritha, from Suwayd ibn al-Nu'man: Suwayd went out with the Prophet ﷺ in the year of Khaybar. When they reached al-Sahba, near Khaybar, the Prophet stopped and prayed the afternoon prayer, then asked for provisions and was brought only a porridge of roasted barley, which he had moistened with water and ate, and they ate. Then he rose for the sunset prayer, rinsed his mouth, they rinsed theirs, and he prayed without performing ablution. The editor notes that the words "and it is near Khaybar" are an insertion from Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Ansari's speech, as Ibn Hajar showed. 1
