«من توضأ فليستنثر، ومن استجمر فليوتر»
A verbatim excerpt of the text, forty words at most; the full text is in the edition cited under sources
Summary
A report that Malik transmits from Ibn Shihab from Abu Idris al-Khawlani, Ā'idh Allah ibn Abdullah, from Abu Hurayra (may God be pleased with him), in the chapter on performing ablution, with the sense of the previous hadith: blowing out water in ablution and making the number odd in cleaning with stones. The editor cites Muslim, Ibn Majah, al-Nasa'i and Ibn Khuzayma, and notes Ibn Abd al-Barr's view that no other chain from Malik or Ibn Shihab for this hadith is sound. 1
