«ويل للأعقاب من النار»
A verbatim excerpt of the text, forty words at most; the full text is in the edition cited under sources
Summary
A report that Malik was told that Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Bakr entered on his sister Aisha on the day Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas died, and asked for water to perform ablution. She told him to complete the ablution, citing that she had heard the Prophet ﷺ threaten the heels that water did not reach with the Fire. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab transmitted it the same way, that it is a well-known Medinan hadith with many connected chains that Ibn Abd al-Barr listed, and that al-Zurqani says the report may have reached Malik through his student Ibn Wahb or Makhrama ibn Bukayr, since Muslim transmitted it through both from Salim, client of Shaddad. 1 2
