Summary
Malik transmits from Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahman from Sulayman ibn Yasar, that the Messenger of God ﷺ in the year of the Farewell Pilgrimage set out for the pilgrimage; some of his companions entered ihram for the pilgrimage, some combined the pilgrimage and the lesser pilgrimage, and some entered ihram for the lesser pilgrimage. Those who entered ihram for the pilgrimage or combined did not release themselves, and those who entered ihram for the lesser pilgrimage released themselves. The editor notes that Abu Musab (1078) and Suwayd (506) transmitted it from Malik, and refers to Aisha's hadiths. 1
