Summary
The first hadith in the chapter on what is done with an offering that is harmed or lost. Malik transmits from Hisham ibn Urwa, from his father, that the one in charge of the Messenger of God ﷺ's offerings said: Messenger of God, what should I do with an offering that has been harmed? He said: whatever camel of the offerings is harmed, slaughter it, then throw its garland in its blood, then leave it to the people to eat. The editor notes that the hadith is relayed (mursal) in Malik's transmission, and that a group of memorisers traced it connected from Hisham from Urwa from Najiya al-Aslami, the one in charge of the Prophet's camels; al-Tirmidhi (910) said the hadith of Najiya is good and sound. 1
