«كان يصلي في مسجد ذي الحليفة ركعتين، فإذا استوت به راحلته أهل»
A verbatim excerpt of the text, forty words at most; the full text is in the edition cited under sources
Summary
Malik transmits from Hisham ibn Urwa, from his father, that the Messenger of God ﷺ prayed two rak'as in the mosque of Dhu al-Hulayfa, and when his mount stood level with him he entered ihram. The editor notes that Abu Musab (1066) and Suwayd (498) transmitted it from Malik; that Ibn Abd al-Barr said the transmitters of Malik did not differ about its relay in this chain; and that its meaning is connected from Ibn Umar and Anas through sound routes, and it is in the two Sahihs. 1
