Summary
The first hadith in the chapter on prayer after the dawn and afternoon prayers during circumambulation. Malik transmits from Ibn Shihab, from Humayd ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf (may God be pleased with him), that Abd al-Rahman ibn Abd al-Qari told him that he circumambulated the House with Umar ibn al-Khattab (may God be pleased with him) after the dawn prayer; when Umar finished his circumambulation he looked and did not see the sun had risen; so he rode until he halted at Dhu Tuwa and prayed two rak'as. The editor notes that Abu Musab (1297), Suwayd (555) and al-Shaybani (440) transmitted it from Malik. 1
