Summary
Malik transmits from Humayd ibn Qays al-Makki, that he was with Mujahid while Mujahid was circling the House, when a man asked him about the days of expiation: are they consecutive or may they be broken? Humayd said: yes, he may break them if he wishes. Mujahid said: he should not break them, for in the reading of Ubayy ibn Kab they are three consecutive days. The editor notes that Abu Musab (804) and Suwayd (466) transmitted it from Malik. 1 2
