Summary
A saying of Malik: I heard people of knowledge say: one who broke his fast on a day of making up Ramadan, by having intercourse with his wife in the daytime or otherwise, does not owe the expiation mentioned from the Messenger of God ﷺ for one who has intercourse in the daytime in Ramadan; he owes only making up that day. Malik said: this is the most beloved to me of what I have heard on it. The editor notes that Abu Musab transmitted it from Malik (806). 1
