Summary
Malik transmits from Nafi, from Qasim ibn Muhammad, from Aisha, that she bought a cushion with pictures on it. When the Prophet ﷺ saw it he stood at the door and did not enter. She recognised his disapproval on his face and apologised to God and His Messenger. He asked her about the cushion, and she said she had bought it for him to sit on and to lean on. He made clear that the makers of these images will be punished on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said to them: give life to what you created; and that the house in which there are images is not entered by the angels. 1
