Chain of transmission
Summary
Malik transmits from Nafi, from Saiba, client of Aisha, that the Prophet ﷺ forbade killing the snakes in houses except the two-striped and the stumpy-tailed, for they dazzle the sight and cause what is in women's wombs to fall. The editor notes Ibn Abd al-Barr's view that Yahya transmitted it from Malik as relayed, without naming Aisha, and that most of Nafi's students transmit it connected from Aisha; and that it is in the two Sahihs from the hadith of Hisham ibn Urwa from his father from Aisha. 1
