Summary

A saying of Malik: the fast-breaking zakat is owed by the people of the countryside just as by the people of the towns, because the Prophet ﷺ made the zakat of fast-breaking, from Ramadan, obligatory on people, on every free person or slave, male or female, among the Muslims. The editor notes that Abu Musab transmitted it from Malik. 1
