Summary
The first text in the chapter on fruit on which no zakat is due. Malik says: if a man has what he cuts of dates amounting to four wasqs, what he picks of raisins amounting to four wasqs, what he harvests of wheat amounting to four wasqs, and four wasqs of pulses, these are not combined with each other, and no zakat is due on any of them until one kind reaches five wasqs by the Prophet ﷺ's sa', as the Prophet said there is no charity on less than five wasqs of dates. The editor notes that Abu Musab transmitted it from Malik. 1
