Summary
A saying of Malik: associates in camels are like associates in sheep: they are gathered together for charity if each has what charity is due on, citing the Prophet ﷺ's word that there is no charity on fewer than five camels, and Umar ibn al-Khattab (may God be pleased with him)'s letter: for grazing sheep, when they reach forty, one sheep. Malik said: this is the most beloved to me of what I have heard. 1
