Summary
The first report in the book of zakat and the chapter on what alms are due on. Malik transmits from Amr ibn Yahya al-Mazini, from his father, that he heard Abu Said al-Khudri (may God be pleased with him) say: the Prophet ﷺ said: there is no zakat on fewer than five camels, nor on fewer than five ounces of silver, nor on fewer than five wasqs of grain or dates. The editor notes that Abu Musab, al-Qanabi in Abu Dawud, Ibn Wahb in Ibn Khuzayma and al-Tahawi, al-Tinisi in al-Bukhari, Ibn Mahdi in Ahmad and al-Tirmidhi, al-Nasai, Ibn Khuzayma, Ibn Hibban and al-Shafii transmitted it. 1
